Tosmur

Tosmur

East of Oba, where the Dim river meets the sea, Tosmur is Alanya's greenest neighbourhood. The platform restaurants along the river, the road up into the Dim valley and the cold running water set the tone of summer here. Although it is 4 km from the centre, it keeps its distance from Mahmutlar's density: the rhythm is calm and family-oriented. Schools, shops and the shore are all within walking distance, and you will find both new residences and older, generously sized apartments. Tosmur suits anyone who would rather not choose between nature and the centre.

About Tosmur

A district set between Oba and Kestel, around the point where the Dim Çayı meets the sea. On one side the shoreline, on the other a green belt running along the river — one of the shadiest parts of Alanya.

Daily life

Quiet and well suited to families. Grocery shops, a bakery, a pharmacy, a school and the seafront cafés are all within the district. The restaurants along the banks of the Dim Çayı are the gathering place of summer evenings; the noise of the centre does not reach this far.

Getting around

Approximately 6 km to the centre of Alanya, a few minutes to Oba. Gazipaşa Airport is approximately 38 km away, Antalya Airport approximately 130 km. The dolmuş (shared minibus) passes frequently along the coastal road.

Housing stock

Medium-sized complexes with swimming pools, apartments with river and sea views, and a small number of villas by the river. New projects are generally concentrated on both sides of the coastal road.

Who it suits

For the buyer who wants peace and quiet without losing touch with the centre. It is a popular choice among families and those considering year-round living; rental demand is strong in the summer season.

Frequently asked about Tosmur

The questions buyers ask most often about Tosmur, answered.

Quiet streets, schools, the coastal strip and the green belt stretching along the Dim Çayı all come together here. The noise of the centre does not reach this far, yet the centre is only a few minutes away.

In terms of views and cooler air, yes: apartments with a river view are more expensive than others in the same complex. On plots very close to the water, however, it is worth seeing the question of humidity and mosquitoes for yourself on site.

Yes, in the projects on the sea side of the coastal road. It is also possible to walk to the beach from the complexes on the inland side of the road, but it takes longer; the prices on the two sides differ accordingly.

Quiet, but not empty. The resident population lives here all year round; most of the shops stay open, and only the seasonal businesses on the seafront close.
